Legacy 1711 ("we", "us", "our") operates legacy1711.com, including all related information, content, features, tools, products, and services (the "Services"). These Terms of Service govern your use of our site and your purchases from us. They work together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Shipping Policy, which are part of these terms. By using our site or buying from us, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our site or buy from us.

Using our site

You must be at least the age of majority in your state of residence to buy from us, or have a parent or guardian's consent to do so. You agree to give us current, complete, and accurate information when you order, and to update it if it changes. You may not use our site or products for any unlawful purpose, violate any law in using them, transmit viruses or destructive code, scrape or harvest other customers' personal information, or interfere with the security of our site. We may refuse service, limit quantities, or cancel orders when we reasonably believe an order involves fraud, abuse, or a violation of these terms. When we cancel an order, we will try to notify you at the email or phone number you gave us, and we will refund what you paid for the canceled items.

Our products

Most Legacy 1711 apparel is made to order through print on demand. Each piece is produced for you after you order it. That means colors and print placement can vary slightly from piece to piece, and colors on your screen may look different from the finished garment. We work hard to show our products accurately, and we list sizing information on product pages. Please check the sizing chart before you order, because made to order items cannot be returned for wrong size or change of mind. See our Refund Policy.

Some items are limited in quantity. We may limit how many of an item one person, household, or order can buy, and we may discontinue any product at any time. If a product page contains an error in description or price, we may correct it and cancel affected orders with notice and a full refund for those items.

Prices and payment

All prices are in U.S. dollars. Prices shown on product pages do not include shipping or taxes, which are calculated at checkout. Taxes are calculated based on your shipping address. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. By placing an order, you authorize us and our payment processors to charge your chosen payment method for the order total. If your payment fails, we may cancel the order and let you know.

Order acceptance and cancellation

Your order confirmation email means we received your order. It does not mean we accepted it. We accept your order when we ship it, or when we deliver a digital product to you. You may cancel an order by emailing carveyourlegacy@legacy1711.com before production starts. Once a made to order item is in production, it generally cannot be canceled. If we cannot ship your order inside the window shown for your item, we will email you with a revised window and the choice to wait or cancel for a full refund, as described in our Shipping Policy.

Shipping, returns, and exchanges

Please read our Shipping Policy for delivery windows and costs, and our Refund Policy for returns, exchanges, and refunds. Those policies are part of these terms. In short: most apparel ships in 7 to 15 business days, varsity and Tapstitch items in 2 to 3 weeks, returns are accepted within 7 days after receiving your order for eligible items, and made to order items are final sale except when they arrive damaged, defective, or wrong.

Digital products

Our ebooks are digital products delivered by email or download link. When you buy an ebook, you receive a personal, non-commercial license to read it for yourself. You may not share, resell, redistribute, or post the file or its contents. If your download file is defective or will not open, email us and we will replace the file or refund you.

Our investing education content is for education only. It is not financial advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy or sell any security or investment. Investing involves risk, including possible loss. Please talk to a licensed financial professional about your own situation before you make investment decisions. We do not promise any investment result.

Gift cards and store credit

Legacy 1711 E-Gift Cards are available in $10, $25, $50, and $100 amounts and are delivered by email. Your E-Gift Card balance stays good for at least 5 years from the date it is issued. We do not charge dormancy or inactivity fees on it. E-Gift Cards cannot be redeemed for cash except where the law requires it. Treat your E-Gift Card like cash. We cannot replace a lost or stolen card. Store credit issued for a return follows these same terms.

Reviews and content you share

If you send us a review, photo, comment, or other content, you give us permission to display it on our site, in our marketing, and on our social channels, without payment to you. You agree your content is honest and your own, and that it does not violate anyone else's rights or the law. We may moderate, edit for length, or remove content that is unlawful, abusive, false, or otherwise objectionable, but we are not obligated to do so. You are responsible for what you share.

Promotions and discounts

Discount codes and promotions are subject to the terms stated with them. Unless stated otherwise, one code per order, no cash value, and no retroactive application to orders already placed. We may cancel a code that is used fraudulently or in violation of its terms.

Email and text marketing

Marketing emails from us always include a way to unsubscribe, and we honor unsubscribe requests promptly. Marketing texts are a separate choice from email. We only send marketing texts to numbers that have opted in to texts from us. You can stop marketing texts at any time by replying STOP. Message and data rates may apply. Our intellectual property

Everything on our site, including our designs, logos, brand names, slogans, photos, videos, and written content, belongs to us or to those who licensed it to us. That includes Legacy 1711, Legacy MDCCXI, Carve Your Legacy, and I'm Rare On Purpose. You may not copy, reproduce, sell, or use our content or trademarks without our written permission. If you believe something on our site infringes your rights, email us at carveyourlegacy@legacy1711.com with the details and we will look into it.

Third party links and tools

Our site may link to third party websites or offer third party tools. We do not control those sites or tools, and we are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. Please review their terms and privacy policies before you use them.

Warranties and liability

Our site and products are provided as is and as available, except as expressly stated in our policies. We do not guarantee that your use of our site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to your use of our site or products is limited to the amount you paid for the affected order. Nothing in these terms limits any right that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Legacy 1711 and our officers, employees, agents, and service providers from third party claims, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your breach of these terms or your violation of any law or third party right.

Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising from them or your use of our site or products are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms by posting the updated version on this page and updating the date above. Your continued use of our site after a change means you accept the updated terms. Changes do not apply retroactively to orders you already placed.
